Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation is growing a food revolution from the ground up!
Here at Rockville State School the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program is a unique and integral part of our school curriculum, and we are helping to change the way children approach and think about food. By integrating fundamentals from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program into our curriculum, we provide practical, hands-on learning experiences where children have opportunities to grow and cook their own food!

Community Cafe

Our Community cafe program, for years prep-6 provides students with the
opportunity to provide a nutritious meal for their friends and family, with produce straight from our garden.
Following the Stephanie Alexander principles, the students gain hands-on experiences both within the garden, kitchen and cooking areas.

Can Do Club

Using the resources available from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program, Prep - year 6 students are invited to be a part of the 'Can Do Club', who make and sell tasty treats to fundraise for end of year celebrations!
